Electric heaters for casting dies are designed for preheating dies for gravity casting and high pressure die casting.

Modern electric die heaters allow:

Reduce gas consumption and avoid unsafe open flame gas burners.
Get a preheated die at the start of the work shift. The die heater can be installed in the die slot after the end of the working day and programmed to start heating before the start of the first shift. This allows you to immediately start production at the beginning of the shift without waiting for the die to heat up.
Eliminate the rejects of castings when the die is put into operation. Preheating of the die allows the production of good castings immediately after the start of work.
Maintain die temperature during production breaks.
Do not change existing dies without heating/coolant channels for expensive die thermostat systems.

The use of electric heaters for casting dies in the casting production process makes it possible to increase production efficiency and casting quality, as well as to obtain the following technological advantages:

Increase the life of casting dies.
Preheated dies significantly reduce thermal shock during the first pours of the melt into the die, which reduces cracking and wear of the molds.
Provides uniform heating of die.
The preheating of the dies with a gas burner leads to a very large variation in the temperature of the die. Usually, the temperature of some parts of the die is very low, and the areas with cores in the middle part of the die can be overheated, which leads to the formation of defects in the form of junctions, non-clasps and shells.
When using electric heaters from SA-Foundry sp. z o.o. the temperature will vary up to about 5ºC per centimeter from the heater.
Rapid heating of the die.
On average, an electric die heater allows the die to be preheated to 200°C in 90 minutes.
Absence of damaged hoses and other elements of foundry equipment.
The electric heating element of the heater has a low surface temperature and even in direct contact with hoses, cables and other elements of foundry equipment does not cause damage, unlike a gas burner with a flame temperature of up to 2000ºС.
No combustion products on the die surface.
In electric die heaters, there are no combustion products, such as carbon, which is deposited in the form of soot on the die surface during the operation of a gas burner.
Compliance with environmental regulations.
The absence of combustion products allows electric heaters to improve the atmosphere in the workshop, reduce CO2 and NO2 emissions.
Compliance with labor safety standards.
The use of electric die heaters minimizes the risk of burns to personnel and the occurrence of emergency situations.
